In RescueGroups.org, you can create journal entries for Contacts in a similar way that you do for Animals. This can be so useful in tracking details about your Contacts such as adopters, volunteers and more, adding depth of knowledge of your community outside of the basic Contact record itself.

# Add a Journal Entry for a Contact

You can add a contact journal entry multiple ways, either by opening a link at the top of a contact record, or in general by going to your **Contacts** menu and selecting **Contact Journal Entries**. From that data table, click **Add a Journal Entry**.

Once you save a Journal Entry for a specific Contact, you can always find it again in the Contacts Journal Entry data table, or even easier, at the top of that Contact’s record.
